1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hakateq Academy (hakateq.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not access the platform or use any services. These terms apply to all users including students, visitors, and contributors.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your login details with others. Any activity under your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Courses & Enrollment

• Free courses are accessible immediately upon enrollment.
• Paid courses require full payment via MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money before access is granted.
• Course access is personal and non-transferable.
• We reserve the right to update, modify, or remove course content at any time.

5. Payments & Refunds

• All payments are processed in Uganda Shillings (UGX) via mobile money.
• Payments are non-refundable once course access has been granted.
• If a payment fails or is disputed, contact us within 7 days at support@hakateq.com.
• We do not store your mobile money PIN or sensitive payment details.

6. Certificates

Certificates are issued upon successful completion of all course requirements. Each certificate has a unique ID that can be verified online. Certificates are non-transferable and represent the individual's own work. Fraudulent completion (e.g., using someone else's account) will result in certificate revocation.

7. Community Guidelines

• Be respectful to all community members.
• Do not post spam, offensive content, or malicious code.
• Do not share solutions to exercises publicly (hints are allowed).
• Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban.

8. Intellectual Property

All course content, code exercises, lab environments, and materials are the property of Hakateq Academy. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without written permission. Code you write in exercises belongs to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

Hakateq Academy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. We do not guarantee employment outcomes from course completion.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your access to courses and community will be revoked. Certificates already issued remain valid.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kampala, Uganda.
